Radius Group acquires Niros Communications A/S

We are happy to inform you that both the board of Niros and the board of Radius have accepted and signed off the negotiated deal to make Niros Communications part of the Radius Group. Niros has been part of the Norwegian Tele Venture Private Equity V AS group consisting of radio companies in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

Niros, a well-known voice and data radio company has been in the radio communications business for over 40 years. With a well-established brand and a comprehensive range of radio devices Niros enhances Radius’s portfolio especially in the voice communication area. “I see many areas where we can make the group stronger by combining our technical expertise” says Technical Director Anders Grahn.

This acquisition also gives Radius access to a strong distributor network with over 40 distributors in 26 countries and a massive customer base including the emergency services and police force of Sweden, the Royal Air Force in UK, Statoil in Norway. “Acquiring Niros gives us the key to new market segments and opens up a number of new distribution channels” Sales and Marketing Director Douglas Brown explains.

By the change of ownership Niros becomes part of a dynamic industrial group with strong focus on development of high quality communication solutions and professional international sales activities. ”We believe that this change will increase the international awareness of the Niros brand and products and I look forward to a close cooperation with all our new colleagues” says Managing Director of Niros Jørgen Lauritzen.
