Elkhorn prove to have a winning formula for power distribution from a wireless data radio.

Radius US, Inc. a remote control solutions company, is pleased to announce another successful deployment of the Radius PDR 221, Packet Data Radio, at Elkhorn Rural Public Power District Battle Creek, Nebraska.

Elkhorn Rural Public Power District supports more than 2,500 miles of line and 8,400 customers. The district has 25 substations that distribute electricity throughout the Elkhorn district at either 4160 volts (town) or 7,200 / 12,500 volts (rural)

Elkhorn Rural Public Power Distribution implemented a UHF PDR 221 data radio system to back haul SCADA information from 25 electric substations and 11 additional outlying remote monitoring points scattered throughout Elkhorn’s service territory replacing their Land Mobile voice radios.
