The unit still supports all the exciting features of the previous data radio, such as wide area repeating coverage, collision management, 128-bit encryption forward error correction. 

The radio is released firstly in VHF and supports a fully switchable range from 140 to 174MHz in one module. The radio also boosts a certified temperature range of -25 degrees C to +75 degrees C.

The Ethernet support will allow IP messages to be routed through the slave radio units, either directly to the slave radio, Ethernet port or via an internal port driver to the RS232 port. The unit is designed to handle  co-sharing independent protocols via the 2 RS232 ports and the Ethernet port.

At the end of the year the UHF version will also be launched.

Both features are designed to be backwards compatible with existing customers PDR networks.
