FPI - Fault Passage Indicator

Radius FPI 100 fault passage indicator is constructed for application to distribution networks where automated switchgear are installed.

FPI

Operational features
When a fault is detected the indicator operates alarm contacts for remote indication and illuminates an integral LED. Indicators placed in the distribution network aid identification of faulty sections of the network. Where a fault occurs the FPI can provide alarms for over currents, earth-faults, sensitive earth faults and persistent current alarms for non-tripping situations. Temporary faults can be discovered with extended indicating times allowing planned inspection of suspect line sections. For permanent faults the indicating period is selectable for up to 6 hours, while for a transient fault the indicating period is 24 hours.
