The above film is a quick view of how you would perform a local manoeuvre on an NME 200 SCADA ready high speed actuator. The film begins with opening the cabinet and switching the NME 200 actuator from its remote mode, (where it is normally controlled via a SCADA system), to the local mode.
The operators then had to press and hold both the activate and open button for the NME 200 to activate into its open position. (This is one of many safety features built into the actuator, to prevent unwanted switching). The LED’s on the panel change from close to open.
The film then briefly pans to the airbrake switch to demonstrate that the above operation has moved the NME 200 actuator to the open position and in turn opened the airbrake switch.
