Overhead Switch Motor Operators

Radius provides a range of different mechanical actuators/ motor operators to operate a large range of different manufacturers` overhead air-break switch disconnectors and load break switches. Radius has pioneered this market and has being providing pole mounted actuators for nearly two decades. Radius provide two major ranges of pole mounted actuators/ motor operators using differing technology to provide the energy to operate air-break switch disconnectors and load break switches. The units are designed for linear or rotary operation.

NME Range
The NME range of actuators/ motor operators use electrical motors to provide the energy to operate the air-break switches. Depending on the application there is a high-speed unit designed for none-spring assisted switches, and a slower speed unit for spring assisted or devices fitted with load-break heads.

Reliability
Radius believes the only time you should see our switch motor operators and switch actuator is when you install them. They are designed with a very long asset life and to that end, we employ only stainless steel for any external component, cabinets are vented and heater controls provide a controlled environment to ensure longevity of equipment and batteries.

Safety
Reliable operation is essential, so for all switch motor operators and actuators we provide sophisticated battery and motor management, so that when you need to remote operate the switch you can feel safe in the knowledge that the actuator or operator will work each time and every time. And if there is a fault our system monitoring will inform you via the SCADA remote control network.
